Chicks who Click is a community of women who are growing and flourishing through Social Media.

It’s vision was to create a conference, a think tank, if you will, for women to come together to listen, teach, experiment and connect with like-minded women face to face, stay connected through Twitter, Blogging, Facebook or Flickr, and to empower each other in achieving great heights in our careers and journeys; and lastly, to collaborate our efforts as women in the field of technology.

Speakers and Topics:

Jennifer Windrum- “Yay, I Just Got Fired! True Passions, Here I Come.”
How getting fired, my mom’s Stage IV lung cancer diagnosis (no she didn’t smoke), unethical journalists, downright mean clients, my “I don’t do no-status-quo” attitude, relentless passion and social media addiction were the best things to ever happen to me. Today I’m yelling “WTF?” and making a difference. Know what? You can too.

Melanie Mills- “The Power of You! The most important and powerful element of the brand of you!”
Melanie will captivate you, motivate you and empower you to be the best you, professionally and personally.

Shelly Kramer- “The Brand of You – Finding Your Voice in the Social Media Realm.”
Real world guidance on being authentic, staying true to yourself and strategically developing the “Brand of You” and integrating that brand across multiple platforms.

Alissa Sheley- “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly: True Stories in Social Media & Advertising.” What’s brilliant? What’s a disaster? As you include social media in your marketing plan, take a moment to learn from the best, and the worst, of what’s out there. Gaining from the experiences of others can help you shine – or at least avoid screwing up royally.

Holly Hamman- “So you’ve found your followers – where are you taking them? Creating, growing, and leading online communities.”
Its all about creating, growing and managing online communities. Holly will provide tips and examples for how successful “powerhouse” communities have gotten started and share their tips on creating culture, using social media, and monetize your site/blog community. Holly loves BlogFrog and is going to share how the tool is being used by blogs to help readers connect and grow their communities.

Jennifer Bailey- “Once Upon a Time . . . there was a Story.”
Authors, editor and agents involved in Children’s Literature are embracing social media to grow readership, build fan awareness and find new talent. The lessons learned, about building brands and community and planting messages on fertile ground, speak truth to many industries who can also reach for a happy ending.
